Join me for a four-day adventure into the Porcupine Mountains as you embrace the Art of Vibrance in landscape photography, focused on the colors and energy of spring scenes. Throughout this workshop, participants will encounter a wide variety of scenes from waterfalls and shorelines, to still life such as old-growth forests and blooming spring flowers.
During this workshop, you’ll join me in exploring remote sections of the park. This is not a standard guided tour, instead, this is an opportunity to shadow me as I work in the field. Working as a team, I will outline my recommendations for locations and potential opportunities, and we will decide as a group on the where, what, when, and why of each day.
This workshop focuses on the artistic intent behind the image, revealed to you as you we work side by side throughout the experience learning the thought process and the approaches I use in the field to craft the photographs I share with you.
Please note: Hiking begins before sunrise and typically concludes after sunset. Some areas are more difficult to access than others. The hiking party will take breaks throughout the day and trip as needed. Moderate to intense physical activity is required. Participants need to bring a comfortable backpack for their gear, a water bottle with a purification system, a camp stove, and backpacking meals or trail snacks.
